Wild Blackberry Wine Recipe
Ingredients:
- 16 cups blackberries (rinsed with cold water)
- 1/4 teaspoon wine yeast
- 1 gallon boiling water
- 8 cups sugar

Direction:
- Break the berries by crushing them with your hands or a potato
masher then place them in a large food bucket.
- Pour the boiling water over the crushed berries.
- Strain the liquid through a colander and then through the
cheesecloth while the pulp is still hot.
- Place the heated liquid back to the bucket then add the sugar.
Stir until the sugar is dissolved using a long nonreactive spoon.
- Sprinkle the yeast on top when the mixture has cooled to
lukewarm.
- Cover the bucket with a loose fitting lid or a nylon stocking
and allow to ferment for fourteen days.
- Strain the liquid into a clean glass container then cover.
- The wine will be ready for bottling in six to twelve months.
