Types of Wine

The sweetness of wine depends on the grape’s natural sweetness. Picking up the right grapes is essential to ensure the correct balance of sugar and acid in the wine.

The most common type of wine is the table wine; this is served during meal together with pork, fish, fowl and other blander tasting food. On the other hand red wine is served together with red meat and neutral wine is with any kind of food.

Red Wine

There are wines that are served as an appetizer. This is called aperitif. And a dessert wine is served on the last course of the meal; it is either served together with cheese course or with desserts.

Sparkling Wine

Another type of wine is the sparkling wine, this is a carbonated wine which is either red, white or in between. A great example of sparkling wine is champagne. The less known type of wine is the ice wine which is made from grapes that are frozen or naturally exposed to a freezing temperature.
